» Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) – Ongoing
KNCHR has commissioned PACL to prepare an accurate account of the Commission’s work over eight (8) years in the form of an exit report in accordance with the final brief agreed with the Commission. The assignment entails consultation with the Commissioners and Staff (both current and former) and carrying out a comprehensive literature review to aid in the compilation of the report.
» East African Community (EAC) – June 2011 to Date
EAC has commissioned PACL to carry out a study on key institutions and instruments for accountability and oversight in combating corruption within the EAC member states. The assignment entails a study on key policy, legal and regulatory and other institutions and institutional, continental, regional and national instruments in use for accountability and oversight roles in the fight against corruption within EAC member states.
» Undugu Society of Kenya (USK) – May 2011 to Date
The assignment entails facilitation of the development of a five-year strategic plan covering the period 2012-2016. It involves reviewing USK’s activities within the past strategic plan period, clearly spelling out relevance as well as significance of the same within its operating environment and developing a plan that will guide the institution in the next strategic plan period.

The assignment entailed development of a new five year strategic plan for the period 2012-2016. It involved interrogating RCK’s institutional design, historical developments of the organization, achievements, challenges, partnership arrangements, strategic development goals and objectives, strategies and its areas of thematic focus.

The assignment involves facilitation of an institutional assessment of management and governance set-up so as to gather background information on the organization as well as participatory review of any policies and procedures in place. Corporate Governance Policy and Procedures Manual (CGPPM), Finance and Accounting Policy and Procedures Manual (FAPPM) Human Resource Management Policy and Procedures Manual (HRMPPM).
» AFIEGO/Open Society Initiative for East Africa (OSIEA): A continuum of Organizational Development services for AFIEGO – June 2010 to Date
OSIEA has commissioned PACL to provide a range of organizational development services to AFIEGO, including governance training for the board; development of a board policy and terms of reference for board members; development and institutionalization of a financial management and accounting system; development and institutionalization of a human resources management policy and procedures; staff training in project cycle management; facilitating development of a new 5-year strategic plan; and training the board and staff on integrated results-based annual planning.
» The Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA): Result Based Management (RBM) Training for Africa Partners (27th July to 1st August 2010)
The assignment involved preparing and delivering a Results based Management training program for programme coordinators and finance managers of 10 Africa Region Partners of the Canadian Cooperatives Association and 3 CCA staff in Entebbe, Uganda.

The assignment involved consultation with a cross section of stakeholders, literature review and drafting a National Equity Policy.

The assignment involved a pre-planning institutional assessment, consensus building on critical planning issues and overall facilitation of an inclusive strategic planning process for the MYWO, a national membership women’s organization.
» Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) : National Food Security and Nutrition Policy Intelligence, Advocacy and Influencing – November to December 2009
The assignment involved designing and facilitating a policy advocacy (Policy Intelligence and Preparedness) workshop for key stakeholders in Kenya’s National Food Security and Nutrition Policy and Strategy as part of FAO’s policy support research work on Policy Intelligence and Preparedness (PIP).

The assignment involved designing and executing a “knowledge and skills-training” programme on Institutional Governance and Human Rights for civil society CEOs, Board members and senior programme officers from Kenya, Uganda and Southern Sudan.

The assessment involves individual institutional assessments of twenty one (21) Kenyan and Regional (Kenya, Zimbabwe and South Africa) partners of Diakonia Sweden’s Kenya Country programme, and the Social and Economic Justice programme.

The assignment involved review of TI-Kenya’s strategic plan, drafting of the new strategic plan document and developing two new programme areas: Governance and public policy, & Public service delivery.
» Law Society of Kenya – Review of strategic plan and induction of staff on reviewed plan
The assignment consisted of review of LSK’s strategic plan and facilitating an induction process for staff and 3 LSK Council representatives on the reviewed plan and results based planning.
